Seva by AADM and acknowledgement by Police authorities

It gives me the utmost satisfaction in congratulating all our Disaster Management Volunteers (DMVs) of Aniruddha’s Academy of Disaster Management (AADM) for their sincere and tireless efforts while supporting the Police force and other government agencies in managing the huge crowds during the recent Ganeshotsav celebrations. The unqualified praise that they have earned from the police and the government authorities alike have indeed made us proud.

For the past many years, the trained and disciplined force DMVs of AADM has been providing the much needed support to various government agencies during natural and man-made disasters, public festivals, pilgrimage events and also at hospitals, orphanages, old-age homes, etc. The DMVs have successfully managed activities concerning rescue and first-aid, crowd control and management, environmental protection, community health and services, waste management, afforestation and other various green initiatives on various occasions.

This year too, on various punarmilap (visarjan) days of Ganpati festival and especially on the day of Anant Chaturdashi, which witnesses the largest festive congregation of people, AADM provided around 4800 of its dedicated DMVs for assisting the Police and other government agencies in crowd management at 63 immersion locations spread across Maharashtra.

The DMVs have been trained based on the guidelines laid down by Param Poojya Bapu. Many of us will recall the soul stirring and inspiring speeches of Bapu on the role of Disaster Management which he had conceptualized way back in the year 2001 and also during the AADM Seminar that Bapu himself had conducted in the year 2005. So far more than 60,000 DMVs have been successfully trained by AADM.

The government authorities and Police force have always admired the selfless service and dedication of our DMVs. Recently, as an acknowledgement of the efforts of our DMVs, Additional Commissioner of Mumbai Police, Shri. Vishwas Nangre-Patil, wrote a letter directly to Param Poojya Bapu for the same. This is not the only instance of appreciation but the list is almost endless. I am enclosing the photocopy of the aforesaid letter along with another appreciation letter from the authorities of Shree Babulnath Mandir Charities, Mumbai.
