Who can harm the one protected by Bapu…

- Sumanveera Dhumal, Mardhe

I bow at the feet of Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu and offer this narration at his holy feet.

Bapu always comes running for me; rather he is always with me. I often experience how my Bapu is with me all the time. This is one such experience –

My younger daughter, her husband, and his entire family are part of the Bapu family. She told me that Bapu has come to Mardhe in the form of padukas and asked me to visit the place for Upasana. On her insistence, I started going for Upasana on a regular basis and my faith on Bapu strengthened.

I started witnessing how Bapu took immense care of all his shraddhavaans during all times. Most importantly, in times of difficulty, the reassurance that Bapu is always with us and that he would help us sail through this was heartening and would help remove fear. As per Bapu’s advice, I would chant Hanuman Chalisa every day.

It was July 21, 2013, the day of the Bendur festival and I had gone to my farm nearby to offer naivedya. The grass in the farm had grown tall and so I kept the naivedya aside and started cutting it. While cutting the grass I felt something cold on my feet. On looking down I realized that a green snake (that was as fat as my toe) with white spots had curled around my feet.

I froze on the spot not knowing what to do next. A snake that size had calmly curled around my feet. It was as if Bapu had instructed him to be there quietly without making any movement.

Snakes usually bite even if they are pushed around a bit. However, this snake sat curled around my foot without moving even an inch. After a few moments, the snake crawled away quietly on its own.

Bapu, you are truly with us during all difficult times without even calling out to you once. You are always with us as our Suraksha kavach (protective shield).

Bapuraya, may your blessings always be on all of us and may we get an opportunity to offer seva and bhakti all our life. This is my only prayer at your lotus feet!
