Just yesterday Bapu, Nandaai and Suchitdada paid a visit to the site, to review the progress being made on the project. I am just back from a whirlwind tour of centres in Sangli and the adjoining regions. The visit was essentially a precursor to Bapu’s visit to Sangli scheduled for April 2013, and intended of course to take stock of the level of preparedness of our various upasana centres which are coming together to organize yet another historic event but also along side to understand their problems and concerns, if any and to fine tune their focus on the preparations if required.
As I am writing this post from Shri Harigurugram, the sweet chants of ‘Om Gam Ganapatayay Namah’ are softly ringing in my ears. Yesterday and the day before ‘The Maaghi Ganapati Janmotsav’ was celebrated. The Maaghi Ganapati Janmotsav is being celebrated since the year 2009. The celebrations are held on 2 days. The first day, entry to the function is by invitation only. Thereafter, on the next following Thursday, It is celebrated at Shri Harigurugram where all Shraddhavans can attend. Usually during the intervening period, the idols of Ashtavinayak are kept at the Link Apartments, where poojan is performed every day.
Last night the Aatmabal Programme 2013 came to an end. Words fail me in trying to describe how it was. At the moment, it is beyond any adjectives. All that I can say for myself and on behalf of all those who were present at Shri Harigurugram yesterday is Ambadnya.
No praise would be too high for our dear Nandai, who planned things to the last detail. Bringing together a group of Shraddhavan ladies, many of them elderly, and most of them shy and introverted, and transforming them into achievers and winners, in a matter of just six months, is in itself a great achievement. Every single item that was presented left an indelible mark on the mind. I can say with absolute certainty that there wasn’t a single eye that did not shed tears while watching the heart-rending performances put up.
